J-Walking

Jakarta is getting merrier with more F&B and entertainment establishments to keep you up all night

Untitled7pm: Arguably the busiest eatery in town, Kitchenette lets you experience the concept of ‘dining inside a kitchen’. Cosy, comfy and casual, this new F&B establishment offers French and Italian fare served fresh directly from the kitchen into a social space.

Plaza Indonesia Extension 1st Floor, Jl. M.H. Thamrin Kav. 28-30, tel:+6221 2992 3580

9pm: Just walk to the adjacent building, still within the premises of Plaza Indonesia, Stark Bierhaus offers local beer with German style. It’s not recommended to leave the premises, anyway, on account of the city’s notorious traffic jams. So, console yourself with the acoustic live performance while sipping one of the three signature beers; low carb, wheat and dark wheat.

3am: Stretch your evenings into the wee hours at this famous 24-hour restaurant. Despite its name, Dim Sum Festival also serves Japanese, Korean and Mexican fare, but it’s the rich varieties of dim sum that are great to satiate nocturnal hoppers.
