We can feel the energy of the pioneering human spirit and a strong desire to explore and adventure through “changing” spaces in the Immigrant interior. It’s a striking venue, indeed, that enable visitors to jump from one interest spot to the other within.
The loft-like space combines sparse industrial décor with the touches of Art-Deco-inspired luxury resembling New York during the 1920s. The lighting setup delivering light and dark areas creates pockets of intimacy.
Don’t get amazed if you feel being taken into different spots; one is on a plane, some under the deck of a vessel and the other is in a train station or railways. It is interesting to visit a fabulous venue where elements of the 20s are brought to the table. They are set nicely to rejuvenate the era that has become a reminiscence of pioneering immigrants coming to New York.
It’s an outstanding historical venue which in line with the Immigrant’s tagline; Becoming One from Many. Originally written in Latin, E Pluribus Unum, the tagline is derived from the United States’ historical motto which appears on the country’s coins, currency and other places.
“At Immigrant, it symbolizes the essence of the venue,” Christoph Darjanto, the club’s director, explains saying, “We welcome guests from all races to come here to enjoy themselves with their friends, creating an organic community where the differences meet.”
The alternation of space flows in feel and tone, depending on our mood of the moment. “This place is set to make our guests feel homey,” Fergie Sutanto, the Immigrant co-creator says. “It’s a space that sets off and is defined by our guests, not the other way around. A place you can make your own; a place where people feel free and comfortable to express themselves.”
The venue is designed to accommodate different experiences, from night out with a date to a bustling launch party. Truly, Immigrant is the place that we can express ourselves in our own way. The club has a romantic dining room, chilling lounge and energizing bar where guests can choose to have themselves drift in entertainment preferences.
It’s just having a dream of purchasing something nice and posh, guests can indulge in various luscious meals of many origins, ranging from explicit Westerner to the exotic Asian foods, in prestigious touch of cooking. What so great about spoiling our palate at Immigrant is that the service is delivered not only in the evenings, but also at full service from lunch ‘till late night. The kitchen is always ready to serve a variety of exquisite cuisines from the menu through the day and night. And yet we can explore the menu one step further with their high quality wine in their friendly wine list.
Instead of dining room and balcony, the house provides two adjoining private dining rooms to accommodate larger parties. These rooms are both intimate and airy, due to sweeping top-to-bottom windows overlooking to the hottest spot on the city. They are the best venue to spend a fun moment after office hour, indeed. It’s the moment when you are keen on having a laid-back chat with some friends or colleagues with a cool and refreshing white wine such as New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc or crisp Australian Chardonnay.
To accompany luscious meals, the club serves a wide choice of beverages. In addition to serving high quality of wine selection, there are more to offer from relaxing beers to serious martinis, such as Green Card, Devil @ Vodka, to name a few. Green Card is one of the club’s flagship martinis, as it tastes sweet and sour with calming alcohol stunning effect. It can be enjoyed as appetizers or a real green card to the next party!
