Socialite fashionista Lucyana Kaschull reveals her beauty through her fascinated fashion collection.
Sexy, elegant and smart are only few words describing Lucyana Kaschull. But classic is the powerful one in her dictionary. “Classic is an eternal vocabulary where all the nature and beauty are derived,” she says.
Still 34 but looks younger, the pretty Lucyana admits being into a classic style. To her, classic is a timeless expression of being beautiful and elegant; the expression she always takes on as a fashionista.
Lucyana believes that her passion for fashion is an inspiration of how she appreciates the art of living. And her keenness on fashion brands like Dolce & Gabbana is how her love for haute couture measured.
Dolce & Gabbana has, for more than two decades, been bursting onto the international scene for its sartorial content and distinguished styling. Lucyana is amazed with the pieces made by these Italian designers as she always treasures their latest collection. “Not only do the designs bring comfort, but they also make me feel sexy and elegant.”
She recently met the two designers who have designed a customized gown for her. “It was an honour to meet the two fashion maestros while they presented me a beautiful gown from their special collection,” Lucyana recalls such jovial moment.
Amazed with the two designers’ uniqueness and creativity, Lucyana furthers while gesturing at some of her collections, “Dolce & Gabbana have been the trendsetter in the fashion realm and have designed a number of my dresses!”
Lucyana also adores other world-class fashion brands like Donna Karan. Her design is something that every woman would like to wear. Women in general want to look beautiful, so they need to dress sophisticatedly and glamorously. Lucyana remarks when having a chat with PMR Magazine, “I like Donna Karan’s designs for not only their rich material but what make the brand stay atop is how the designs are created to fit all body types. This perfectly caters to the needs of women in terms of apparel.”
Could you tell us more what you meant by the needs of women in terms of apparel?
Women need to wear comfortable clothes that fit them properly. To me, I choose clothes that reflect my personality. I like elegantly classic design that can match my outfits.
In your own words, how do you view today’s world fashion?
I think fashionistas nowadays are very smart as they always follow the trend and style. More importantly, they always look sexy and glamorous.
How do you describe yourself?
I’m not a 9 to 5 kind of woman as I don’t think I like to sit down in the same office meeting the same people everyday. I earned my bachelor’s degree in accounting from Trisakti University, Jakarta in 1998 before furthering my education, also in accounting, at New York University, US. People would expect someone with accounting degree to work 9 to 5, but this is not in my case. In spite of believing in the importance of number, I’m more into people person. In other words, I’m an adventurous being as I like meeting different people in life.
And how do you perceive a life?
Just like visiting one place to another on a trip, life is a journey that one should enjoy what she or he can.
Do you like travelling?
Of course! What is the purpose of life if you are given wealth but can’t see all the beauty the world has to offer? In addition to my interest in fashion, I like learning about culture. Travelling, to me, is a means of opening my eyes more into the fashion world and broadening my knowledge about various cultures in today’s globalization era.
What is/are your favourite travel destination(s)?
Rome is a great place for a cultural trip. When having the mood of being back to nature, I favour New Zealand for a relaxing tour. And for my American trip, New York is a must to visit place. The city is so happening. You can get everything there and more importantly, it’s one of the world’s great shopping destinations. Central Park in New York is what I also like about the city. Apart from this, I like going to beaches. While I like Nusa Dua beach in Bali when travelling within the country; Cocoa Island in Maldives and Bora bora Island in French Polynesia are my most favourite beaches abroad.
Any plan to travel in the near future?
Yes. My next travel destination is Punta Mita, Mexico. It’s the point of simple pleasure on one of the most exciting beaches in Mexico. Visiting Dubai is likely to be the next after.
Where do you shop?
Mostly I shop in Singapore and Europe, though I sometimes do my shopping in Jakarta. Paris and Milan are my frequent shopping destination. Harvey Nichols and Club 21 are where I shop in Jakarta and Singapore, respectively. I especially like Harvey Nichols as the store offers a wide variety of premium fashion brands.
If you were given a chance to reborn, what would you want to be?
I would like to be a designer. I always love fashion but unfortunately I’m not good at drawing and sketching.
If you want to live forever, what age do you want to live in and why?
Hmmm…any number between 85 and 90. But as long as I stay healthy, at this age I would have given a chance to see the world more.
How do you react at the fact that people get older?
It’s a natural think and is not something we need to worry. To me, the more important is to keep myself steady, healthy and sexy.
