Having successfully offered internationally-recognized IB programs, BINUS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL Simprug has for years scored achievements that reflect the school’s vision of being a world-class community of proud and outstanding achievers.
In the effort to nurture its students toward becoming proud and outstanding achievers, BINUS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL Simprug inspires the students to achieve personal bests in five areas: academic excellence, innovation and enterprise, sports and fitness, performing and visual arts, and service to the community.
“While we continue to excel as an IB World School, many of our students also shine as proud and outstanding achievers by emerging as champions or runners-up in various competitions,” school principal Peter Matthew Saidi, said.
BINUS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL Simprug proudly congratulated 4 gold medalists and 8 silver medalists recently in the 2010 International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS). Students were awarded medals in English Writing, English Reading, Mathematics, Science, and Computer Studies. Earlier in the year, three Grade 5 students gained second place in a National Robotics Competition.
In terms of leadership, high school students received awards two years in a row at the International Youth Leaders Forum held annually across different countries in Asia. In January, BINUS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL Simprug will again send delegates to the International Science Youth Forum held at one of the top schools in Singapore, Hwa Chong Institution.
The school also triumphs regularly in sports competitions and was proud to host BINUS CUP V earlier this year. Competitors from over 20 schools participated, and BINUS offered golf and airsoft competitions which proved very popular. With all this happening, BINUS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL Simprug also brings home trophies for various music and art achievements.
Asked what the school’s long-term objectives related to the vision of “proud and outstanding achievers were”, Peter responded, “Standing out internationally as a school, with graduates widely accepted into the world’s top universities such as Harvard and Oxford.”
“To achieve this,” he continued, “the foundation must be built as early as possible. Fortunately, BINUS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL Simprug is able to do so by providing a journey of programs for students from preschool to high school.”
